A gentle
solution that is quick and effective for removing unwanted hair
Traditional hair removal techniques, such as shaving, plucking and waxing, provide
only temporary results. Electolysis, although it can result in lessening hair
growth, often requires years of ongoing and frequently painful treatment. Allergic
reactions and ingrown hairs are common side effects of all these hair removal
methods.
The EpiTouch Plus Alex safely removes unwanted body hair without damaging the delicate pores and structures of the skin. Facial and bikini areas are generally treated in less than 10 minutes; the legs and larger body areas can take longer.
The process
is simple. A coat of clear gel is lightly applied onto the skin, and then the
laser pulses are quickly and evenly appied to the treatment area. No painful
waxing is necessary beforehand and there is no need to grow the hair long before
treatment. Anaesthesia is not required and most patients experience no more
than a slight stinging sensation when the laser pulses are applied. Certain
parts of the body are more sensitive than others and sometimes redness or slight
swelling occur for a few hours after treatment.
How many
treatment sessions are necessary?
The number
of sessions varies according to the individual and the part of the body being
treated. During the initial visit, EpiTouch removes the visible hair and disables
those follicles in the "active" phase of the growth cycle. Follicles that are
in the "resting" phase will not be affected. Eventually, as these dormant hairs
become active and begin to grow, additional sessions may be necessary. Over
time, hair growth will be slower and finer.
Laser
hair removal for long lasting results
The EpiTouch uses advanced, clinically tested laser technology to bring hair
removal to a new level of effectiveness and convenience with longer lasting
results. The laser works by selectively targeting the pigment inside the hair
follicle. Each pulse of the laser light takes less than a second to disable
large numbers of hair follicles without damaging the surrounding skin.
The freedom
from unwanted hair is now easier and more comfortably achieved, leaving you
with a smooth, clean and fresh feeling that endures longer than ever before.
